NVIDIA stopped selling RTX 3080 and 3090 Founders Edition directly.

Players and PC enthusiasts who want to equip their PCs with high-end graphics cards can no longer purchase RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 Founders Edition graphics cards directly from NVIDIA’s official website. Both graphics cards are now sold by Best Buy in the U.S., and other markets in Europe don’t even have retailers.

NVIDIA stopped selling RTX 3080 and 3090 Founders Edition directly.

Enthusiasts have struggled to get RTX 3080 and 3090 Founders Edition graphics cards due to supply problems, provisioning problems at online retailers and the use of robots to devour all available stocks. For many people, the only option is to go to eBay and pay a large premium to the yellow cow to buy the card.

Believing that supply problems were the main reason for NVIDIA’s changes, they chose to sell graphics cards only through Best Buy. NVIDIA said it had heard feedback on its online store issues and was working to improve the buying experience. The company will sell graphics cards through its partners and then recommend Best Buy, the official statement said.

Regarding the absence of retailers in Europe, NVIDIA said it was continuing to review the implementation of its European distributors. It’s also worth noting that, as of the time of writing, Besser actually doesn’t have a spot RTX 3080 or 3090 Founders Edition graphics card.

NVIDIA says supply problems with the two graphics cards will continue until at least 2021. Although current inventory is limited, there will be more supply in the coming weeks. However, the expected release date for the additional product was not given.
