Microsoft has released a free JavaScript hands-on instructional video for 51 hours.

There’s a popular saying in the industry that “any application that can be written with JavaScript will end up with JavaScript”, and that’s Atwood’s Law. JavaScript is almost everywhere, and its popularity continues to grow. Microsoft recently launched a free 51-hour instructional video based on the Python Beginners series.

Microsoft has released a free JavaScript hands-on instructional video for 51 hours.

Throughout the course, Microsoft helps users set up a development environment using Visual Studio Code, install Node.js as JavaScript Runtime, and then create a Hello World application directly. JavaScript syntax is provided in the course, and more advanced topics are explored, including objects and asynchronous programming. Finally, explore the JavaScript ecosystem and the large number of packages and libraries available on NPM in the course.

At the beginning of this course, Microsoft will also cover (many) places where JavaScript can run, including browsers and servers with Node.js. While the focus of this course is primarily on using Node.js as an execution environment, most videos will cover concepts and syntax that are also valid in the browser.
