Tesla’s new technology patent exposure uses laser to clean up stains on car

Would you feel cool if you saw a column in a car’s configuration table that says “Laser Wiper”? This appears to be an ongoing study by Tesla, andmedia reported that Tesla has now patented the technology, known as “the stains and photovoltaic power components on the glass products of pulsed laser cleaning vehicles.” Isn’t it a bit of a slur? Presumably means cleaning the car glass with a laser, which can be basically interpreted as a “laser wiper”, except that it can clean up not just the windshield.

As can be seen from the patent diagram, the system components are mounted under the car’s “bonnet” near the front windshield, and two exits are protruding from the “bonnet”, like the outlets on all car bonnets, but they are not sprayed with water, but by a laser beam. Tesla explained that the system can also automatically remove any debris that blocks the view of the self-driving car’s camera.

In addition, Tesla plans to use the system to automatically clean up debris from rooftop solar panels, which is the “photovoltaic module” in the patent name. But as in the case of large divisions, many auto makers apply for such magical patents, but these patents never appear on the product configuration table. It is not known which model Tesla wants to put on, or even whether it will be fitted to any one car.
