With just days to go until the November 3 U.S. presidential election, former Vice President Joe Biden’s campaign unveiled a new custom-called map in Fortnite,media reported. The Map of Build Back Better with Biden, first reported by Mashable, is located in Reboot City and is designed to promote the campaign’s message that the environment and the economy are connected.
This single-player, adventure-type map takes 20 to 30 minutes to play and debuts Friday night local time.
Christian Tom, director of digital collaboration for biden’s campaign, says the custom Fortnite map is a substantive, more accessible, fun way to reach and mobilize voters. Signs around the map encourage players to visit makeaplan.com, and players can send “Fortnite” to 30330 to learn how to vote in person, cast their ballots, or vote on Election Day.
In fact, this isn’t the first time the Biden campaign has entered video games. Earlier this month, his campaign team was featured in “Together! The Animal Crossing: New Horizons campaign has created a virtual Biden field office for voters, where Biden supporters can further interact with the campaign. Also in September, the campaign unveiled the Biden-Harris Yard logo in the game.
Biden’s dogs, Champ and Major, are also known to have set up homes in Reboot City, and there are many Easter eggs on the map.

Although developer Epic Games is in a legal battle with Apple, Fortnite has proved it can attract a large number of players. As of May, the game had 350 million registered players, Epic said. In April, Travis Scott’s concert at Fortnite attracted 12.3 million players at the same time, which Epic called a “record” for the game.
