At the WWDC developer conference in June, Apple announced that the HomeKit Smart Home Platform will support Secure Video surveillance video and HomeKit routers this year, with HomeKit Secure Video recording cameras in the home hub The center is analyzed and encrypted to iCloud to ensure user privacy.
Apple also offers 10 days of free video storage independent of iCloud subscriptions, and HomeKit-enabled routers automatically put all HomeKit-connected devices in protection mode when they detect a hacker attack to avoid information disclosure.
The first HomeKit Secure Video and router devices will be manufactured by Netatmo, Logitech, eufy Security, and links, Eero, and Spectrum.
More recently, Apple’s U.S. website has quietly updated its HomeKit accessories page, with HomeKit Secure Video and routers already appearing, suggesting that new products will soon be available to consumers. One of the first routers to support HomeKit included Eero, Eero Pro, and Linksys Velop Mesh, while camera products included Arlo Baby Monitoring Camera, D-Link Omna CAM HD, Logitech Products such as Circle 2.
In addition to the camera, some doorbells with camera features support HomeKit Secure Video, such as Netamo Smart Video Doorbell and Robin ProLine Doorbell.
