Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice-president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and dubai’s sheikh, said he had been vaccinated against the new coronavirus,media reported. Al Jazeera (aljazeera.com) reported Wednesday that Al Maktoum shared photos on social media that day showing him being vaccinated against a new coronavirus vaccine developed by Sinopharm.

Reported that the vaccine was developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group, is currently in the third phase of clinical trials, that is, the final stage. Local media quoted UAE government sources as saying the vaccine was safe and effective.
Ten other UAE officials, including the country’s foreign minister, health minister and cabinet affairs minister, were reported to have been vaccinated before Al Maktoum was vaccinated. In addition, the UAE’s front-line health care workers will also be vaccinated.
On July 16 this year, abu Dhabi Ministry of Health, UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, Abu Dhabi Health Services and UAE technology giant G42 Group, in cooperation with Chinese vaccine developer China National Pharmaceutical Group, launched phase III clinical trials of the new crown vaccine in the UAE. On September 15th the UAE urgently approved the use of China’s new crown vaccine.
