Intel has released iris Xe MAX standalmographic graphics cards for thin and light notebooks, and the first Acer Swift 3x, Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2-in-1 and Asus VivoBook Flip TP470 will soon be available on the market, with a brief introduction to Intel’s next-generation graphics technology from the media, including HEXUS and Tom Hardware.

Intel’s 11th-generation Core mobile processor uses the same Xe-LP graphics architecture as the Iris Xe MAX standalvy graphics card, but the standalcas will have a higher frequency and 4GB LPDDR4x memory, manufactured using the 10nm SuperFin process, supporting DX12.1, PCIe 4.0, DLBoost:DP4A AI acceleration, Deep Link acceleration.

Officially, Deep Link is “a universal software framework that aggregates multiple processing engines to provide new capabilities and better performance for PCs” that enables some applications to work in parallel with both integrated and standaliene graphics cards, speeding up AI applications, video encoding, and power sharing to improve overall computing performance. The Additive AI feature, for example, supports inference and rendering on both GPUs to speed up content authoring workloads. Another feature, called Hyper Encoding, is designed to encode multiple media streams at the same time, and Intel is also looking at how to speed up single-stream encoding using four media encoders in Iris Xe Max laptops (two in integrated graphics and two in stand-alone graphics). Intel hopes to make the feature available in the first half of 2021 and says performance could be twice that of a single RTX 2080 using NVENC. Intel believes this will benefit media creators who use laptops.

Intel will also optimize the driver software, the system will be based on heat, utilization, etc. for real-time adjustment, reasonable allocation of use of the set and unique.

Deep Link is currently compatible with tool suites such as Handbrake, OBS, XSpilt and Huya, and will be recognized by Deep Link in the coming months.

Intel does not position the Iris Xe Max as a gaming chip, but claims stable 1080p performance compared to the MX350. In intel charts, while the MX350 won in Masterless Land 3 and War Machine: Tactical Squad, it offered higher performance in games such as Tomb Raider: Shadows, Wizard 3, Middle Earth: Shadows of War, Killer 2, Subway Departure and Grid 2019. Intel also acknowledges that Deep Link does not get better game performance in some games, in which case the system will put the workload on the most appropriate GPU.
