TSMC’s second generation 5nm process performance improvement level is expected to be higher than expected

Media reported that TSMC’s second-generation 5nm process will improve chip performance by 7% and energy efficiency by 15% compared to the first-generation 5nm process.

TSMC’s second-generation 5nm process, which is scheduled for mass production next year, is expected to be used with the A15 processor that will be installed on Apple’s iPhone 13 smartphones.
