KRAFTON, the parent company of the well-known online game Jedi, announced today that it will host its multi-platform portfolio on Microsoft Azure. PUBG’s popular multiplayer game PLAYERUNKWN’S BATTLES (PUBG) and PUBG MOBILE will be hosted on Microsoft Azure to ensure the protection of personal data.
KRAFTON will also work with Microsoft to introduce a verification process to ensure that the storage of personally identifiable information about its players follows all appropriate requirements in the region where KRAFTON and its subsidiaries operate gaming services. The move also allows KRAFTON to bring PUBG mobile games back to India, where it was recently banned because of its ties to China.
KRAFTON said in its press release that Azure is currently providing technical support for some large multiplayer games that provide adequate security and compliance, and that this partnership with Microsoft will ensure that privacy is respected and that the software is fully compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.
