The AMD Ryron 5000 series processors have already debuted four models on the desktop, and more platforms and new products are in the process of being prepared. In Italy, an Acer Aspire 5 A515 notebook with a so-called Ryzen 7 5700U processor has appeared ahead of schedule. The Ryzen 7 5700U, said to be coden named Lucienne, is an update to the current Renoir, which maintains the Zen2-Vega architecture.
Compared to the Rye 7 4700U, the 5700U changes significantly, including unlocking hyperthreads (8 cores 16 threads), increasing the acceleration frequency by 200MHz, etc. (1.8 to 4.3GHz). The GPU integrates 8CU, 1900MHz frequency graphics core, 4700U only 7CU, 1600MHz.
The use of Zen2 under the name Ryzen 5000 may disappoint some users, but don’t worry, Zen3-Vega’s “Cezanne” is not absent, the model is said to cover Ryzen 7 5800U, Ryzen 5 5600U and Ryzen 3 5400U, the co-existence relationship is as follows –
The Acer is due to ship on February 1 next year and is priced at 779 euros, according to the Ia page. This seems to fit the previous claim that AMD will release the Rye Dragon 5000 Series notebook APU processor at CES 2021 (January 6-8).
It’s worth noting that AMD also allegedly has the “Van Gogh” of Zen2 Architecture and RDNA2 and “Rembrandt” of Zen3 plus RDNA2, which is also a 6nm process.
