The FCA said in a statement that it was aware of three “minor incidents” that could have been related to the problem, but there were no casualties. In addition, the carmaker has discontinued 2020 Fiat 500models.
The FCA will notify the owners of the affected Fiat 500 models that they will need to take their car to the dealer for free repairs. The technician will replace the mobile cable adjuster to resolve this issue. The recall is expected to begin on January 4.
