Elon Musk recently unveiled a uniquely designed Tesla pickup Cybertruck, media reported. It was clear that Tesla had no hiding its ambitions to compete with Ford, and shortly after the launch, the company released a video showing Cybertruck dragging an F-150 up a hill.
In response, Sundeep Madra, Ford X’s senior vice president, publicly accused the fight of being unfair and challenged Tesla.
Soon, Musk readily accepted the challenge.
It looks like Ford is the one who’s backing down. According to a statement provided to TechCrunch by the company, Ford did not care about the challenge.
Sunny’s tweet was just a joke about the absurdity of the Tesla video, and that’s all. With 42 years of America’s best-selling trucks, we’ve focused on serving our pickup customers, no matter what others say or do. We look forward to next year’s brand new F-150 hybrid and a few years later the all-electric F-150.
Perhaps Ford realized that it might not be a good idea to have the F-150 face off with Cybertruck.
