Apple on Friday began offering a three-month free trial of Apple News plus to first-time subscribers in the U.S. and Canada, compared with a one-month trial of the previous free subscription,media reported. According to a message posted on the App Store, this is a temporary promotion that applies only to Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
“Only this weekend will you get a free trial of Apple News for 3 months and enjoy access to all hundreds of magazines and newspapers,” Apple said.
Subscribers in the U.S. or Canada can launch a three-month trial on the Apple News website. At the end of the trial, Apple News plus auto-renewal costs $9.99 a month in the U.S. and $12.99 in Canada until it’s canceled.
Apple News is a subscription-based service in the Apple News app that gives users access to hundreds of magazines and paid content from a number of news sites. The service was launched in March after Apple acquired Texture.
