Microsoft and other large number signed letters expressing support for the Paris Agreement

The CEOs of several technology companies, including Microsoft, Apple and Google, have signed a letter to the United Paris Agreement,media reported. The letter questioned whether the U.S. government continued to be involved in the fight against climate change. In accordance with United Nations regulations:

The core objective of the Paris Agreement is to strengthen the global response to the threat of climate change by limiting global temperature increases this century to 2 degrees Celsius well below pre-industrial levels, and to try to further limit temperature increases to 1.5 degrees Celsius.

And President Donald Trump’s early decision to withdraw from the Paris agreement in his administration remains deeply unpopular, and the latest effort suggests that President Trump still has no plans to make any changes. Although the announcement was made in 2017, the United States remains part of the agreement until 2020.

In addition to technology companies, CEOs of well-known companies such as Disney, L’Oreal and MasterCard signed the agreement.
