Qualcomm unveiled its upcoming flagship processor, the Snapdragon 865, at its annual Snapdragon technology summit yesterday. While the latest Snapdragon 865 is Qualcomm’s most powerful Snapdragon processor ever, it looks set to continue the trend of underperforming Apple’s A-Series processors.
Renowned whistleblower Ice Universal posted a screenshot of The Geekbench score for Snapdragon 865 on Twitter, according to which Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 scored 4303 single cores, while multicore scored 13344, while A13 Bionic has a single core score of 5400 and a multicore score of 13900. The A13 Bionic is Apple’s latest ARM chipset, powering the latest iPhone 11 smartphone.
The Geekbench score screenshot also shows Samsung’s Exynos 9825 chipset with a single-core score of 4500. On the plus side, Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 is much faster than The Snapdragon 855 Plus, and the Snapdragon 855 plus single-core score is about 3,700, with a multi-core score of 11,400.
