Since its inception in 1995, Craigslist has become a well-known classified advertising site, according tomedia. But surprisingly, the site has not had an official app since the smartphone era began. And now, the company has finally announced the launch of the official free app for iOS.
Like its website, the mobile app is designed to be simple. The overall design of the application also refers to its website, which means that it is primarily text and a concise interface, which makes the application very fast and easy to load. It also has a “publish” tag that allows users to simplify posts directly from their phone.
The company’s description of its application is also minimal:
craigslist – online classifieds site. Founded in 1995.
Look for a job. Hire employees. Post your resume. Provide your skills/services.
Buy and sell cars, trucks, ships, recreational vehicles, motorcycles, trailers, car parts.
Provide your services, find contractors, find short-term jobs and odd jobs.
Buy and sell furniture, household goods, electronics, computers, clothing, bicycles, artworks, any and all second-hand items.
Event partners, artists and musicians, resettlement of pets, local activities.
Save your favorite posts for later use, save searches, and set up search reminders.
Publish, modify, and renew your ads.
The app currently ranks 14th in the App Store’s shopping category, with an average rating of 4.6 out of 63 reviews. The site secretly betas its official app for an uncertain time, although finding links on the main site is not easy. Although current searches in the Google Play Store only open third-party apps, users can find links to Android Beta tests here.
