Microsoft starts pushing 1909 updates to older Windows 10 users

Media reported that Microsoft has started pushing the 1909 update to users running older Windows 10 operating systems. If you are still using the October 2018 version of 1809, please note that it will end support on May 21, 2020. Microsoft updates the dashboard to see that the company is taking steps to ensure that Windows 10 users use the new version of the software. From now on, Windows 10 1909 will move forward in stages.

For Home and Professional devices currently running Windows 10 1809, windows 10 1909 updates are automatically turned on and installed. In addition to new features and bug fixes, it brings critical monthly safety updates and eco-health improvements.

Microsoft is expected to launch a massive update push in the months leading up to the termination of the Windows 10 1809 service to provide sufficient buffer time for the smooth transition of users, and this time it will not rush users to update.

Finally, to make it easier for users to understand the end-of-service time for each version of Windows 10, themedia MSPU also prepared a table.

In the case of Windows 10 1803, you can see that the general version ended support on November 12, 2019 (enterprise/education was postponed until November 10, 2020).

If you want to temporarily postpone a Windows 10 system update, go to Settings – Update and Security – Windows Update, and postpone it for 7 days.

Of course, we do not recommend this, as this may leave devices vulnerable to malware and vulnerabilities.
