The upcoming vertical flip-flop Galaxy Fold 2 is expected to be equipped with a high-resolution, 5x zoom-enabled camera and is expected to be released in February next year along with the Galaxy S11, Bloomberg reported. If true, this means the Fold 2 will be equipped with the same camera module as the high-end Galaxy S11, so it won’t be as cheap as previously reported.
The Galaxy Fold 2 may be cheaper than its first generation, according to a well-known whistleblower, Ishan Agarwal. In a tweet, he wrote: “The Galaxy Fold 2, model SM-F700F, will also be available in multiple markets. Users in the United States, Canada, China, India, South Korea and the European Union will be able to buy cheaper Galaxy Folds. Curiously, it has only one storage option – 256GB. Smartphones are available in two colour options – black and purple. “
In the past few months, there have been a number of revelations about the Galaxy Fold 2. The collapsible phone, codenamed Bloom, is expected to have 256GB of memory and a new design, according to previously leaked information. SamMobile also said it was unlikely that the device would be named the Galaxy Fold 2, which is part of a different product line than the Galaxy Fold (SM-F900F).
However, it is not yet clear whether the Galaxy Fold 2 will carry the same flagship processor as the S11 series (SnapSnapdragon 865 or Exynos 990), after a month before Xiaomi unveiled its first 108-megapixel CC9 Pro. Also used is the Qualcomm SnapDragon 730G midrange processor.
