There’s no need to overstate how much Google Glass has failed, and the consumer version of Google Glass, a much-anticipated but high-selling, is already out of production in 2015. Google, which then appears to have abandoned the $1,500-a-price product and has barely pushed too many software updates for it, now seems ready to get rid of it altogether.
Recently, according tomedia reports, Google has just released the last software update of Google Glass, the update requires the user to install manually, after the installation will remove Google Glass and server-side link features and the Google account on the device, Google Gmail and YouTube on Glass will also disappear.
Of course, Google Glass can still pair your phone with Bluetooth and use local features such as taking videos.
But that doesn’t mean Google Glass has disappeared completely from Google’s product series, and Google Glass’s corporate version won’t be affected, as Google just released its second-generation Google Glass Enterprise in May, saying it already has H.B. Fuller, S. Companies such as Health, Deutsche Post and AGCO have used Google Glass for logistics, manufacturing and field services.
