On the evening of October 29, NVIDIA officially released the new mainstream graphics card GeForce GTX 1660 SUPER, an upgrade to the original GTX 1660, aimed primarily at 1080p/2K resolution gamers. This is the 11th game card product of the Turing family (counting Titan RTX), the fourth upgraded version of the “SUPER” name, or a SUPER version of the GTX 16 series, but not the last.
The GTX 1660 SUPER continues the TU1116-300-A1 GPU core used by gtX 1660, the 12nm process Turing architecture, the flow processor is still 1408, no RT light chasing core and Tensor tens or volume core, and the benchmark and acceleration frequency is also maintained at 1530MHz, 1785MHz.
Its only change is the memory, the original 6GB GDDR5 upgraded to 6GB GDDR6 (beauty particles), the frequency has been greatly increased from 8GHz to 14GHz, with 192-bit bit width, the total bandwidth to 336GB/s, a 75% increase.
In addition, the thermal design power consumption of the entire card increased slightly from 120W to 125W, continuing the single 8-pin auxiliary power supply.
In terms of price, the GTX 1660 SUPER reference reference base retail price is 1799 yuan, the premium version will start at 1899 yuan, are non-public version.
