Google has begun reviewing the Chrome tab preview feature, expected to be available soon

Despite its dominance in the browser market, Google’s Chrome browser is still weak in some respects, and that’s exactly what Google has been trying to improve. One drawback is the tab preview feature, which first appeared on the classic version of Microsoft’s Edge browser. In October, Google launched the feature on Chrome OS. Now, according to Reddit community users, Google has reviewed the new feature on Chromium Gerrit.

When this feature is enabled, the user is allowed to preview all open tabs without navigating to activate the tab. The feature also allows users to swipe through different tab previews with the mouse, and can even easily rearrange previews.

According to Chromium Gerrit, the feature currently appears to be only available for Windows and Linux, without mentioning macOS. It’s not clear when this feature will go live, but we expect Google to bring its feature to Canary users as soon as possible.
