Western Data announced the launch of the New SSD, SN550, simply an upgrade to the current NVMe Blue Disk. Upgrade points are mainly reflected in the new self-research master chip, new thermal design, maximum 1TB capacity, more PCIe channels. The SN550 is replaced with a new master of the West Number Self-Research, the PCIe 3.0 channel is increased from x2 to x4, and the official theory of the maximum continuous reading speed is increased from 1700MB/s of the SN500 to 2400MB/s.
In terms of cooling, the 96-layer TLC flash memory is no longer an “emergency set” with the master chip, but separates the ends, and the thermal performance is better.
In terms of reliability, 250GB, 500GB, 1TB can be fully written 0.3 times a day, consistent with the SN500, with a 5-year warranty.
The SN550 costs $250GB for $55 (about $387), 500GB for $65 and $1TB for $100. At present, the SN500 250GB of the national bank price is 329 yuan.
