This year, Xiaomi has shown off its own collapsible smart prototype, which can be used as a tablet after spreading it out. But after that, the project seemed to turn low-key. Interestingly, according to a recent patent, the company is also expected to be working on a flip-flop-style folding phone similar to the Moto Razr. Xiaomi is understood to have applied for the design patent in China in 2018, was approved on December 6, 2019, and joined the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) database.

The description of the patent is simple, but the nine sketches that come with it look interesting. In addition to the flip-top folding screen design (horizontal folding / similar to Moto Razr 2019), a fairly slender home screen can be seen when spread out.
It is also equipped with a pop-up front-facing camera with a rear-mounted double camera. Interestingly, the rear camera group section not only contains the double camera and flash opening, but also surrounds the notification display, and the front of the body is also a full screen design.
The phone’s front-facing camera pops up when a selfie is needed (single camera , flash , and another sensor). Although the purpose of the sensor is not mentioned in the brief, it is assumed that it can be used for facial detection. It is not known when the aircraft will be launched.
