Independent email app Edison Mail is now on the macOS platform after the Android and iOS platforms were available. Instead of simply porting a mobile APP to the desktop side, it’s a new e-mail client for the desktop environment, which writes in the app description: “Designed from scratch to eliminate common headaches of desktop-side e-mail”, which currently only applies to existing Edison Mail user invitations open.
Edison Mail for Mac devices is available for a variety of email accounts, including iCloud, Outlook, Yahoo Mail and Gmail. Users can still use the “one-click unsubscribe spam” feature and the automatic Read Receipt Blocking feature. The latter prevents the e-mail advertiser from tracking the applications/systems you use to open the e-mail and whether any specified e-mail messages are open.
In addition to the iconic “one-click unsubscribe” feature, desktop Edison Mail also offers Dark mode and Swipe Gestures. If you’re already using Edison Mail on your phone or tablet, you may find an invitation to the desktop app immediately or soon to be in your inbox. If you’ve never used Edison Mail before, you can go to the Edison Mail page and sign up for the invitation.
