Recently, we learned from Tesla’s official website, the domestic Model 3 standard range upgrade range from the original “460km (NEDC estimate)” changed to “445km (the national standard operating conditions law). At this point, the car’s NEDC range is officially released, but not the import standard range upgrade of 480km NEDC range (import edgy is now discontinued in China).
It is reported that the previous domestic Model 3 standard battery life upgrade labeled “460km (NEDC estimate)” is based on overseas models of EPA range data converted. Since the domestic Model 3 had not yet produced, Tesla did so to give consumers a general idea of how the car was going.
It is important to note that there have been previous news that the domestic Model 3 or will replace the battery supplier, rumors will be replaced by the original Panasonic LG. We expect that the changes in the battery supplier will result in different vehicle battery performance, resulting in a domestic Model 3 that will not be able to perform as well as imports.
Another note is that the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology new energy vehicle promotion directory shows that the domestic version of the Model 3 has two battery versions, about the NEDC 455km model Tesla’s official website has not yet announced.
