The Zorin OS community today announced the official version of Zorin OS 15.1, the first maintenance update received by Zorin 15 six months after its release. Zorin OS 15.1 is based on Canonical’s latest Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS (Bionic Beaver) system, meaning a Linux 5.0 kernel provides better hardware support.

Highlights of Zorin OS 15.1 include better compatibility with Microsoft Office and performance improvement in the Libre Office suite, the integration of GameMode of Feral Interactive, and the automatic allocation of more CPU, GPU and disk I/O resources to games by Zorin OS, providing a more seamless experience for Android phone users with the latest version of Zorin Connect.
Best of all, Zorin Appearance now comes with a new Manual Plan option that allows users to choose the exact time to start freely switching between Light and Dark themes, as well as new settings to enable and disable dynamic background opacity. Zorin OS 15.1 also introduced a new font called Sans Forgetica.
