American actor Danny Aiello, who starred as Lyon agent Tony in “The Professional,” died thursday of a heart attack at the age of 86. Danny Ero has appeared in such classics as “The Professional,” “Once Upon a Time in America,” “Lost in the Moonlight” “The Godfather 2” and “The Purple Rose of Cairo”
But he is best known for his role in Spike Lee’s Do The Right Thing, which earned him an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor in 1990.
Born on June 20, 1933, Danny Ero joined the army and worked as a bodyguard in a nightclub before entering the show. In 1973, Ayero entered the entertainment world playing a baseball player in the film Bang The Drum Slowly, which he played against Robert De Niro.
