Apple’s new Mac Pro has been approved by the FCC before it is released later this year. Still, Apple’s website still shows that the new “Mac Pro” will be available this fall, but the FCC’s approval means the product is likely to be released soon. The new Mac Pro is an extremely powerful device.
The new Mac Pro has up to 28-core Intel Xeon processors, up to 1.5TB of ECC RAM, 4TB Of SSD storage, and AMD Radeon Pro Vega II Duo graphics card with 64GB of HBM2 memory. The computer also has eight PCIe extension slots for extended and configurable.
The new chassis design includes a stainless steel frame with a smooth handle and an aluminum housing that can be easily lifted by the user to add components, and the Mac Pro housing also features a unique grid pattern nicknamed the Silk Melon Planer to maximize the cooling air flow and keep it running quietly.
The new Mac Pro starts at $5999 in the U.S. and is equipped with an eight-core Intel Xeon processor, 32GB ECC RAM, Aradeon Pro 580X graphics card and 256GB of SSD storage. Apple will also sell a 6K-resolution 32-inch Pro Display XDR display for $4,999, with an optional stand for $999.
