Skyryse plans to build an automated helicopter platform – “Commuter System in the Sky”

Flying cars have long been portrayed as a preferred means of personal travel in science fiction, according tomedia. In the near future, however, reality will be intertwined with this fictional literary creation. Skyryse, a start-up for unmanned helicopters, is one of the companies that will drive the development. On Tuesday, local time, the start-up shared a promotional video for the Luna automated helicopter platform.

Unlike other companies interested in making autonomous or electric-powered cars, Skyryse’s systems can work with existing helicopters, luna based on the Robinson R44.

The company says Luna can control flight dynamics more accurately and quickly than human pilots.

But the helicopter also has a very big drawback: it can’t be taken over by humans like a self-driving car if it happens thousands of feet above the ground.
