Yu Chengdong has previously finalized a new product launch in Paris, France, in March 2020, to launch the highly anticipated Huawei P40 series flagship mobile phone. Prior to its official launch, well-known whistleblowers @OnLeaks shared the flagship HD renderings of the P40 and P40 Pro withmedia 91Mobile.
According to the rendering, the back of The Huawei P40 series will use a rectangular raised camera module, but the raised height is not much. Huawei’s P40 can hold up to four cameras, but the number of cameras on the P40 Pro has not yet been confirmed, and there are rumours that it will be equipped with five cameras. In addition, the Huawei P40 series will be made of glass on the back of the fuselage.

The Huawei P40 features a flat screen design measuring between 6.1 and 6.2 inches. The P40 Pro, on the other hand, features a Samsung-like curved screen with a focus on arcing all four faces, providing a higher screen ratio and an immersive look, with a screen size of 6.5 inches to 6.7 inches.

At present, the specifications of Huawei’s P40 series are not clear. However, according to previous leaks and rumors, the Huawei P40 Pro may be equipped with a huge 5,500mAh battery and has 50W fast charging support. The phone will shake the inside of the Kirin 990 SoC, which integrates a 5G modem for fifth-generation cellular connections. From a software perspective, Yu has confirmed that the phone will immediately launch EMUI 10 based on Android 10 (open source, most likely). However, these phones will not be able to use any Google apps, such as Gmail, Google Maps, etc.
Huawei’s P40 Pro is also expected to feature a 6.5-inch waterfall OLED Quad HD plus display with a refresh rate of 120Hz and a screen share of about 98%. In terms of cameras, Huawei’s P40 Pro is expected to feature a 64-megapixel Sony IMX686 main sensor, OIS, 20-megapixel ultra-wide-angle lens, 12-megapixel periscope telephoto lens, macro lens and Time of Flight sensor.
