Kensington has just launched the new SD5500T Thunderbolt 3 docking station, which offers 9 commonly used ports, down-compatible USB Type-C, to meet the real needs of most home/office users. Most Thunderbolt 3 docking stations on the market today are based on Intel’s Alpine Ridge controller solutions, but it may not be available for all USB-C hosts. The Titan Ridge chip solution was selected for the SD5500T docking station for Kensington to provide better hybrid compatibility.
