On December 18th, according to media reports, Forbes released the 2019 YouTube Celebrity Income List, with 8-year-old Ryan Kaji topping Forbes’ top 10 earned-income YouTubers of the Year for the second year in a row with $26 million (about 182 million yuan).
The Forbes YouTube celebrity income list is based on pre-tax income earned by online celebrities through advertising, sponsored content, peripheral product sales, travel and more, with Ryan Kaji topped the list with $26 million, according to the report.
Ryan Kaji’s channel, Ryan ToysReview, is understood to be launching in 2015: opening a gift box in front of the camera to rate each gift.
Ryan topped Forbes’ YouTube celebrity list with $22 million in 2018. Now with 23 million subscribers, the channel name has been changed to Ryan’s World.
According to a survey this year by the Pew Research Center, videos on high-subscription channels contain nearly three times as many video views as other types of videos.
There is another child star on this year’s list: 6-year-old Anastasia Radzinskaya, who came in third with $18 million.
