Kubuntu Focus Notebook debuts next year: 32GB of memory, Core i7-GTX 2060

In partnership with Tuxedo Computer and MindShare Management Inc., the Kubuntu team today announced the first officially certified laptop equipped with the Kubuntu System, The Kubuntu Focus. This is a high-end laptop for gamers, developers, and advanced users with very powerful hardware specifications that strike an excellent balance in portability and performance.

The notebook will be pre-installed with the Kubuntu operating system, the official Ubuntu flavor version of the KDE Plasma desktop environment. This Linux-based notebook will also pre-install some of the most critically acclaimed open source software for video and image editing, web development, deep learning, and more, support ingress games, and other software packages for KDE desktop environments.

Kubuntu Focus is a 6-core Intel Core i7-9750H processor and 4.5GHz Turbo processor with 6GB RAM, 32GB dual-channel DDR4 2666 RAM, 1TB Samsung 970 EVO Plus NVMe SS D’s Nvidia GeForce GTX 2060 graphics card, as well as a beautiful 16.1-inch matte 1080p (FHD) IPS display.

“This laptop is the result of months of dedicated industrial design. We have carefully made a hardware configuration adjustment to ensure out-of-the-box.
