Google Doodle Celebrates the Arrival of the Winter/Summer Solitis

The northern hemisphere’s winter solstice officially arrived on December 22,media CNET reported. To highlight the harsh weather that many of us may encounter over the next three months or so, Google has created a doodle (the same style as the one celebrating the arrival of the autumn equinox earlier this year), this time showing a surprising expression and a snowman in the Arctic.

As the northern hemisphere prepares for the shortest day of the year, Google also helps the southern hemisphere prepare for the warmer summer days with the summer solstice. The graffiti features a more satisfying look at palm trees and sun-soaked sun loungers.
