Recently, according tomedia reports, a Washington state woman encountered an embarrassing problem, she mistakenly paid sky-high phone charges, but the operator has been slow to return the excess phone charges. The incident occurred on November 6 this year, when carol Doty made a mistake in paying her monthly phone bill, paying only $57.84 (about 405 yuan), but she paid $5,784 (about 40,552 yuan).
After the problem was discovered, the woman quickly contacted AT?amp;T and asked for a refund, but the company said she was unrefundable because she paid too much and Carol was not the owner of the number.
Then, in an effort to recover the refund, Carol fought hard, including making customer service calls, emailing and faxing to AT?amp;T, visiting offline offices, and even contacting local television stations to put pressure on AT?amp;T.
After the station stepped in, it finally received an update disreply on December 5th from AT?amp;T, which said it had partnered with third-party vendors to refund the money as soon as possible, though there was no specific time point.
It’s clear that Carol is blown up, and she’s filed a lawsuit asking AT?amp;T to refund her money.
