To cater to Apple’s redesigned Mac Pro workstation, OWC also released its fastest SSD product line — the Accelsior 4M2 SSD with a four-way M.2 combination that offers 8TB of capacity and speeds up to 6000 MB/s. The product is based on Xiangshuo’s ASM2824 PCIe 3.0 x4 bridging chip to transfer four M.2-2280 slots.

The Accelsior SSD ontitis is Aura P12 M.2-2280, featuring a groupED PS5012-E12 master that supports SLC caching, an onboard DRAM cache, and Toshiba 3D TLC NAND Flash.
To ensure consistent performance and reliability, the Accelsior SSD also covers a large heat sink to take away the heat generated by the drive’s operation. In terms of capacity, Accelsior 4M2 offers 1TB, 2TB, 4TB, 8TB options.
The OWC Accelsior 4M2 SSD provides continuous read and write performance of up to 6318 MB/s and 6775 MB/s.
It’s worth noting that, like other high-end OWC drives, Accelsior 4M2 offers SoftRAID software that supports the configuration of various RAID modes (0, 0, JBOD).
Despite the main Mac platform, the SSDs are also available on PCs. In this case, however, it can only be used with other RAID software and as a normal PCIe SSD extended memory card.
OWC says it will open the Accelsior 4M2 SSD this week on December 30. The quasi-system version is $249.99 (1753 RMB) and 1TB to 8TB capacity is $479.99 to $1599.99 (3366 to 11220 RMB).
