DECEMBER 25 (UPI) — AMD SHARES ROSE 2.38 PERCENT TO $46.54 ON TUESDAY, ANOTHER RECORD CLOSING HIGH, ACCORDING TO FOREIGN MEDIA REPORTS. The move follows royalbank raising AMD’s target price. AMD’s shareprice was about $16 last year, up nearly 200 percent this year. AMD Share Price Performance
AMD has released a 7nm process product. For example, the AMD Ryzen Threadripper series, with a 7nm “Zen2” kernel architecture, has up to 88 PCIe 4.0 channels and 140MB/144MB cache.
Intel has some problems with nodes after 14nm. Previously, Intel’s CHIEF executive was also very frank about the 10nm problem.
In addition, Intel is experiencing a delay in PC CPU delivery. Last month, Intel said it had invested record capital expenditures to increase production capacity of 14 nm wafers this year in response to continued strong demand, while continuing to increase capacity by 10 nm. In addition to expanding Intel’s own manufacturing capabilities, we are also increasing our use of foundries.
AMD’s current market value is about $54 billion; Intel has a market capitalisation of about $258.434 billion.
Led by AMD, the Nasdaq edged up 0.08 percent to 8,952.88.
