LibreOffice Quality Assurance (QA) announces that LibreOffice 6.4 RC1 is ready for testing. LibreOffice 6.4 RC1 is available for download, and this version is available for Linux, MacOS, and Windows. Libre Office 6.4 is scheduled to be finally released by the end of January 2020.
In fact, LibreOffice 6.4 RC1 has been in its third pre-release release since the June 6.4 release of June 2019 (see the release plan for details). Starting with LibreOffice 6.4 Beta1 (previous pre-release), it has committed 410 commits to the code repository and fixed 195 errors. Users can view the release notes to find new features included in this version of LibreOffice.
Currently, version 6.4 has added new content such as QR code generation, full-page preview, and improved compatibility with Microsoft Office format. The QR code generator allows the user to enter hyperlinks or text, select complexity, and then generate a two-dimensional code that can be shared.
In addition, officials say that if someone finds any problems in this pre-release, they can report the problem in Bugzilla to fix it before Libre Office 6.4 final is released.
