On December 24th Colin Radcliffe of the United Kingdom led the development of an app called DEpressON to help people with depression,media reported. He also suffered from depression and nearly committed suicide.
Depression is a common disease, also known as depression disorder, characterized by significant and persistent depression, with more than 300 million people suffering from depression worldwide. The report noted that Colin was diagnosed with depression and anxiety a few years ago after the birth of his child, but he refused treatment and thought he could overcome it.
One day, Colin suddenly thought of suicide while crossing the bridge, but luckily his son took his hand and walked off the bridge. Colin then decided to take part in group psychotherapy, where he was inspired to develop an app.
Colin says the app helps patients monitor themselves, represents mood with weather symbols, and allows friends to know and help.
The app was developed by many doctors and people with depression, and Colin hopes it will save people with depression from their families.
