Tencent Technology (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd. was established in February 2000, registered capital of 2 million U.S. dollars, the legal representative is Ma Huateng, the scope of business includes engaged in computer hardware and software technology development, sales of self-developed software, electronic products design services. According to its equity structure, the company is wholly owned by China Hong Kong Enterprise Stakes Group Co., Ltd.
As of December 24, 2019, there were 12,355 blockchain-related patents in China and 4,295 blockchain patent applications filed in China in 2019, according to Mars Finance.
Chen Chun, a professor at Zhejiang University and a member of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, said in an interview that blockchain technology is still in the technology research stage, and there is still a long way to go before large-scale land-to-ground applications. In order to avoid losing ground in future competition, enterprises need to do a good job of forward-looking patent layout.
From January 1st to December 24th, 2019, China’s blockchain patent filingranking ranking shows that the top 10 blockchain patent applicants are all enterprises, of which Tencent, Alibaba and Ritzer Technologies are among the top three.
