Samsung’s new app launches Microsoft Marketplace: Allows desktop devices to make phone calls

Samsung recently launched a new app called Samsung Mobile Broadband Testmode on the Microsoft Store. The app can be installed on Windows 10 Build 17763.0 and later, but it’s not compatible with Surface Laptop 2.

The app is simply described as “CM tool for Windows 10” and does not provide any more detail. Butmedia have speculated that the app, like Microsoft’s You Phone app, will allow you to make calls from Samsung’s Windows 10 PC. The application also supports ARM CPU, which means that if Samsung launches ARM PCs in the future, it will run on Snapdragon-driven PCs.
