2019 is drawing to a close, and people are looking to the next decade, which begins in 2020. Meanwhile, the Calculate Linux 20 distribution based on Gentoo 17.1 is also available for download to the public. It offers a wide range of desktop environments, including Cinnamon, KDE, Xfce, MATE, and more, but it’s important to note that Calculate Linux no longer supports 32-bit processors (a full shift to a pure 64-bit platform) since this major release update.

While some older guys will be sad about it, it’s a last resort given that the 32-bit processor is quite old. If you don’t want to spend a lot of money upgrading from 32 to 64-bit platforms, try your luck in the second-hand market.

In terms of packages, Calculate Linux 20 is pre-installed with the Firefox browser and LibreOffice Productivity Suite, but the desktop environments are slightly different. For example, Cinnamon comes with Rhinthmbox, and MATE comes with Clementine.
