Former U.S. President Barack Obama recently released his favorite 2019 book list, according tomedia. “These books have made the past year brighter,” Obama said. He also released his favorite movie list, Jia Zhangke director of “The Children of Jianghu” is also on the list. According to the Guardian, Mr Obama began recommending bibliographies during his time as US president. The 19 novels and non-fiction series in the list cover a range of topics, including economy, feminism and race.

According to reports, Obama’s books include Bloom’s “The Yellow House,” the true crime novel “Moments of Passion: Murder, Fraud and the Final Trial of Harper Lee,” Sally Rooney’s “The Common Man, and Nothing To Say: A True Story of Murder and Memory in Northern Ireland.”
Obama also released a list of his favorite films for 2019, including “American Factory,” “Strange Grace,” “Apollo 11,” “Just Mercy,” “The Last Black In San Francisco, Little Woman.” It is worth noting that Jia Zhangke’s “Children of Jianghu” is also on the list.
In addition, Obama’s 2019 favorites include the second season of “Life in London,” “Unbelievable” and “Watchman.”
CNN reported that Current U.S. President Donald Trump will also recommend books. On Twitter, Mr. Trump praised a new book, “The Conspiracy Against the President: The True Story of Congressman Devin Nunes,” which exposed the biggest political scandal in American history. He also recommended a book by Donald Trump Jr., Trigger: How the Left Thrives in Hate and Wants To Silence Us.
