Koei Tecmo recently held a press conference to announce the company’s technical support division brand changes. According to the announcement, the department will be renamed Future Tech Base at the beginning of the new decade. The original “technical support department” sounded like a department that would have been a support service for player users, but that was not the case, officials in Koei Tecmo explained at the launch.
Now renamed Future Technology Base is responsible for research and development of patented game engines, AI, CG technologies, and more. The technology that the Koei Tecmo Institute recognizes is capable of efficiently developing high-quality games in a relatively short period of time, supporting the company’s potential and ability to draw money as a feature and advantage of the department.
The named origin, and Koei Tecmo intends to continue the global IP expansion to strive for further growth of the core policy, named “future technology base”, symbolizing the research and development department to lead the entire company into the future, as well as as the mission of the basic technology research and development base.
In a statement, Koei Tecmo also pledged to improve expressiveness (visual effects) and content interactivity to deliver new gaming experiences and thrills to customers around the world.
