Back in mid-2019, there was speculation that Apple would adopt a new design for the 2020 5G iPhone. Now,media have compiled three highly anticipated “iPhone 12” features, including a full screen without Liu Hai, an underscreen front-facing camera, and an off-screen fingerprint recognition scheme. If so, it will be Apple’s first major design update for its home smart phone line since the launch of the iPhone X in September 2017.

Although the Essential Phone was the pioneer of Liu Haiping, it was the launch of the iPhone X that led the trend for smartphone makers. Unfortunately, for many enthusiasts, Liu Haiping is not a perfect solution.
In order to achieve a more beautiful comprehensive screen smart machine design, some manufacturers have replaced the pop-up camera, under-screen openings, and even extreme double-sided screen solutions. But looking ahead to 2020, hidden camera technology under the screen is expected to lead to a flyover.
With the fingerprint scanner embedded in the screen (optical or ultrasonic solution), the front-facing camera is also expected to see progress hidden under the screen by 2020.
Earlier this year, both OPPO and Xiaomi demonstrated similar scenarios. As for the handsets and other sensors, you can also find a place to fit at the edge of the screen.
In mid-2019, there are rumors that Apple will use a new design on the 2020 iPhone. Apple is working on a screen development for the 2020 iPhone, the Times newspaper reported, citing Credit Suisse.
To achieve its goal of a full screen, Apple will place the TrueDepth camera below the screen (high-end models only), and the iPhone 12 is expected to be fully equipped with an off-screen fingerprint scanner and a face ID cut off.
As for the cheap entry-level “iPhone 12” model, it will be the same as the design of the existing iPhone 11 product line. Just as the iPhone X, which launched in 2017, has been given a new design, while the iPhone 8/8 Plus retains the old design.
The editorial team of LetsGoDigital, a Dutch technology blog, found that the rumor was not a fabrication, as Apple had applied for three well-known design patents in Japan, showcasing the iPhone style without Liu Haiping.
The document was published by the Japan Patent Office (JPO) on December 23, 2019, and each contains four images. While removing the Face ID, the new iPhone also integrates an on-screen fingerprint and an under-screen camera, unfortunately not being able to see the back of the phone.
The edges on all four sides of the screen are rounded (like the iPhone 8) and the receiver is in the middle of the upper bezel. The key layout continues the iPhone 11 style, such as the volume on the left and the mute switch, but has a slender multifunction button on the right.
