Last year, Y-Brush promised to give consumers a toothbrush that would help them clean all their teeth in 10 seconds, media reported. Now, a year on, on the latest CES, this quirky toothbrush is finally on the line, offering what the Oral-B and Colgate electric toothbrushes can’t offer, namely efficiency. FasTeesH, a French-based company, is trying to help people redefine how to brush their teeth.
As you can see, Y-Brush looks like a sport-protected brace, with some nylon bristles inside. This built-in motor for the toothbrush vibrates to clean the teeth.
So how much does such an efficient toothbrush cost? –$125. Here’s a comparison, with Colgate electric toothbrushes costing $100 and Oral-B Bluetooth Genius Pro 8000 toothbrushes costing $180.
Now, consumers can book on Y-Brush’s website, but the product won’t ship until at least March.
It was learned that the unique toothbrush had been tested in humans and that 3,000 consumers were said to have taken the test. Currently, it is conducting clinical studies. While Y-Brush may change the way people brush their teeth, users still need to use floss ingress regularly to clean their teeth more in depth.
