Brooklyn start-up Ergatta has launched a rowing machine called Digital Rower, which is designed to inspire more workouts with a large screen and a mix of competitive game elements, media reported. Rowing machines are known to provide very good body workouts, but they also have a drawback – it’s very boring compared to real rowing, so it’s hard to stick with it a lot of the time.
So Ergatta decided to put the gamble on the game, which the company thought would be a good way to solve the problem, adding competitive elements to give people a reason to come back to exercise.
Because Ergatta’s design was not designed to make Digital Rower look like a normal fitness device, but rather to incorporate a more tasteful wooden look that would blend into home decoration and home.
According to Ergatta, the boater can be placed upright in the corner of the room when not in use, saving a lot of space in the room.
The core part of the system for this rower is its gaming platform, which will be able to tailor personalized training to the needs of users.
Digital Rower has now started accepting bookings on the Ergatta website, which is currently priced at $1,799, with an additional $200 when the normal price is restored. The company expects the product to be available in March.
