According tomedia reports, Trend Micro announced today that its Pwn2Own annual hacking contest will be held in Vancouver, Canada, from March 18 to 20. Pwn2Own is part of the CanSecWest conference, which will allow security researchers to discover vulnerabilities in web browsers such as macOS, Windows and other operating systems, Safari and Chrome.
This year, Safari on macOS will offer two rewards, one for a $60,000 sandbox escape and the other for a $70,000 kernel-level privilege upgrade.
In addition, the Tesla Model 3 vulnerability will be awarded up to $500,000.
Safari on macOS was found to have at least two zero-day security vulnerabilities in Pwn2 Own last year.
It is reported that all vulnerabilities found in the game will be told to companies like Apple, so that they can timely patch the vulnerability.
