As the CES is coming to an end, Intel unveiled its first Xe architecture, developing the unique shape of the DG1. There are a few points to note, first of all, this is a sample card currently only available to developers, second, look at the desktop unique, but in fact, it is a mobile notebook platform GPU, only for debugging;
On-site, Intel opened the 1080P resolution based on the “Star Wars” (Warframe) trial, the lowest frame rate of 30FPS, the foreign hands found that the picture has visible defects, Intel explained that the GPU chip is still in the process of perfection.
It is reported that the DG1 solo and Tiger Lake processors integrate the Gen12’s shared Xe architecture, which is said to be four times the performance of the current Gen 9.5 generation core.
In terms of form, the DG1’s metal housing is designed with a lot of fluid lines, with back panels, blue belief lights chicly placed on the side of the interface, the machine lit up with a kind of vortex surge feeling.
The machine does not have external power supply, only pcIe 3.0 (whether x16 uncertain) that means TDP is certainly within 75W, the interface is currently 1 HDMI and 3 DP, card height of about 4 inches (10 cm).
Unfortunately, Intel didn’t release any other details at all, including detailed settings for game test quality, the process of the GPU chip, specific power consumption, frequency, memory type, and more.
According to earlier statements, Xe is divided into Xe_HPC, Xe_HP and Xe_LP three levels of core, DG1 uses Xe_LP (low power consumption), the rumored design tDP is only 25W.
