Microsoft is a company with a long history that plays a very important role in computer change. Today, walking Cat, a well-known whistleblower, posted a promotional video on his twitter account highlighting the evolution of Microsoft’s keyboard and mouse. The video, originally produced by Microsoft UK and released in 2017, has now disappeared, but the show is very similar to a recent Surface promotional video.
The video begins with an IBM PC from the old DOS era, with the “Everything we’ve done, we’ve ve done” on the screen (all ready, let’s go hand in hand). The video then shows the changes of desktop, keyboard, and mouse in a fixed animation, as well as Windows 95, Windows Vista, Windows XP and Windows 8 and Windows 10 systems.
However, sharp-eyed Microsoft fans have noticed that the video also shows how Microsoft’s own keyboard and mouse have evolved. From the first Microsoft mouse in 1983 to the Microsoft Intellimouse in the 2000s, and even the modern Arc Touch mouse and Surface mouse. Microsoft’s keyboard also plays an important role in video. At the end of the video we see the 1994 Natural Keyboard Natural Keyboard, the 2013 Sculpt Ergonomic Desktop Engraved Keyboard, the Surface Human Istate Keyboard and Surface Dial.
